The Family Strong Conference is a multi-faith collaboration, initiated by organizers who want to make New Mexico the best place to raise a family. There are many outside influences along with internal family struggles that many parents face, no matter how old our children. The Family Strong Conference was created to provide answers for parents and families to learn better communication, patience and realistic techniques for teaching and parenting.
The collaboration centers around the fact that families - no matter what their faith background - all need a little support and encouragement now and then, and reminders that they are doing the best at the hardest job in the world - parenting.
The Conference is not just for parents. It is relevant for singles, as several breakout sessions will focus on how to communicate better and manage your emotions; how to speak supportively with friends or family with compulsive behaviors or addictions, and healthy roles and behaviors for men in our society, among other interesting topics.
Likewise, grandparents, caretakers, and the general public may gain new perspectives on topics that impact us all - communication, addiction, emotions and keeping them "in check," ideas for de-stressing our relationships and more.
